The problem it solves
Most sales commission lives in one giant spreadsheet that one person owns, mixing salaries, profit targets, growth assumptions, and a sliding reward scale into a tangle of formulas. When a rep's salary changes mid-year, or someone needs to know “what would I earn if I hit this number,” the spreadsheet has to be hand-edited — and one wrong cell quietly changes everyone's pay.
It also gets argued over: a rep has a strong month and a weak month; do they lose commission they already earned? The spreadsheet rarely answers that the same way twice. The result is slow month-end calculations, costly mistakes, and no single agreed version of the rules.
What it does
The tool puts the whole commission model in one place and applies it identically every time. Two ideas sit at its core: you only earn commission once you clear your threshold, and you never lose commission you have already earned.
- 01Set each rep up once. Enter salary, profit-target multiplier, gross-profit percentage, and starting year. The system builds the rep's full month-by-month target plan automatically.
- 02Set the reward tiers once. Define how much commission is paid on the first slice of surplus over target, the next slice, and so on. Any number of tiers; the final tier is always uncapped. Every rep is measured against the same scale.
- 03Enter monthly actuals. Type what the rep achieved each month. The tool instantly shows commission earned and the amount that gets paid out, with a full month-by-month breakdown.
- 04Watch the dashboard. A consolidated view rolls every rep's planned and actual earnings up by currency so finance sees the total payout coming before it is due.
- Add extra profit from other sources to any month's calculation.
- Adjust a plan mid-year from a given month forward without rewriting settled months or clawing back earnings already banked.
- Give reps their own read-only view of their plan and earnings — they see only their own figures.
- Manage Gulf branches each with a local currency (AED, SAR, KWD, OMR, QAR, BHD); totals are grouped per currency, not converted.
- High-water-mark accounting: a bad month yields no payout but never reverses commission from a good one — the rule is built in and applied to everyone identically.

How you use it
An admin sets up branches, then creates each rep with their salary, multiplier, GP%, starting month, starting revenue, and expected growth — which builds the full-year plan. The reward tiers are configured once globally. Each month, the admin enters actual revenue (and any additional GP) per rep and the payout is computed instantly. The dashboard consolidates planned versus actual payout by currency. Reps log in to see only their own figures.
Works with
Standalone web application with separate admin and salesperson views. No dependencies on other SHT tools. Monthly actuals are entered manually; an automatic import from a shared actuals file is designed but not yet active.
