HoliStart
The complete employee lifecycle in one HR platform — from raising a hiring request and onboarding a new joiner all the way through to separation and full-and-final settlement.
Always on · runs across the whole journey
The problem it solves
Getting someone started at a large logistics company used to mean paper forms passed between departments, email threads to track approvals, and someone manually chasing IT for a laptop. Departures were even harder: collecting company assets, running exit interviews, and processing the full-and-final settlement all happened across disconnected inboxes.
HoliStart brings those scattered steps into a single, traceable workflow. Every request has a record, approvals leave an audit trail, and no one has to ask “did HR get that?” because the system shows exactly where it stands.
What it does
- 01Hire. A manager raises a Manpower Request Form — department, designation, site, open positions, salary band, and whether the vacancy is an addition, replacement, or contract. The LOB Head and Director approve in sequence; a Recruiter can then convert it into an onboarding request.
- 02Join. A manager submits the new joiner's details (single entry or bulk Excel upload). After approvals, HR generates an offer letter (PDF or Word) and emails it; the candidate accepts or declines via a link. HR then sends a personal, time-limited data-entry link so the new employee fills in their own Aadhaar, PAN, bank, address, and documents before joining day.
- 03Onboard. After joining, IT Support gets an asset ticket and allocates equipment — laptop, desktop, SIM, ID card, data card, uniform, and more. Finance, Admin, and Communication handle their asset approvals. HR sends the appointment letter, verifies everything, and closes the onboarding to make the person an active user.
- 04Work. An active employee can view their assigned assets, request a new or additional asset, and initiate their own departure when the time comes.
- 05Leave. A departure request captures the reason, last working day, and manager recommendations. Manager and Director both approve. IT and other departments raise recovery tickets for every device, SIM, and ID card. An exit interview is scheduled and stored. Each department signs off a clearance form. HR finalises the Full and Final settlement.
Who it's for
- HR teams who process paperwork, generate and send offer and appointment letters, assign assets, and close departures.
- Managers who raise hiring requests, submit joiner details, and approve their team's departures.
- Directors and LOB Heads who approve hiring and departures.
- IT Support who manage device tickets and hardware inventory.
- Finance, Admin, Procurement, and Communication who handle their respective asset approval queues.
- New employees before joining day — who fill in their own details via a one-time link with no login required.
How you use it
Log in with username, email, or mobile number — or with a corporate Google account (no self-registration; accounts are created by the Super Admin). Your role controls which sections you see: a manager sees their team's requests, an HR user sees the full onboarding queue, IT Support sees only the asset dashboard. A Super Admin can also trigger manual syncs of master data from HoliBook.
Works with
Syncs its master data — locations, cost centres, business lines, departments, designations — from HoliBook, an internal HR master-data system. Raises asset and recovery tickets in Dopex, an internal ticketing platform. Exposes a token-authenticated REST API that other internal tools use to query locations, cost centres, and business lines.
Active internal HR platform, deployed for a logistics company. Laravel web application with AWS S3 document storage, a queue worker for email and SMS, and Google OAuth login support.
