The problem it solves

Booking road freight in India is usually a phone-and-WhatsApp business. A customer calls around for a truck, haggles on a price, and then has no real idea where the truck is until it arrives — or doesn’t. Transporters chase payments on paper. Nobody has a single record of what was agreed, what the truck is doing right now, or whether the load is running late.

Invoices, advances, TDS deductions, and commissions are tracked in someone’s notebook. The result: no live visibility, disputes over money, missed pickups, and a lot of time spent on the phone.

What it does

TruckPool puts the whole trip — from posting a load to settlement — in one place, with the truck tracked live by GPS every step of the way.

  1. 01Post a load. A customer enters the loading and unloading points, the vehicle type needed, and a target price; TruckPool measures the distance using mapping.
  2. 02Match or bid. The load can go straight to a transporter as a booking request they accept or reject, or be opened as a bid where multiple transporters quote and the best wins. The TruckPool operations team can also place a bid or assign a transporter on the customer’s behalf.
  3. 03Track the truck live. Once the trip is running, TruckPool follows the truck by GPS — knowing when it reaches the loading point, when it’s loaded, the milestones along the route, and when it arrives and departs the unloading point — flagging delays and long halts automatically.
  4. 04Keep everyone informed. Every important moment — order accepted, bid received, truck reached loading point, truck delayed — sends a notification in-app, by SMS, and by email.
  5. 05Handle the money. TruckPool records the customer’s and the transporter’s freight charges separately, plus extra charges, deductions, advance payments, commission, and TDS, and generates proforma and final invoices for both sides as downloadable PDFs.
  • Operations dashboard showing order counts, revenue, transporter-wise and customer-wise breakdowns, invoice stats, vehicle availability, and price variation across busy lanes.
  • Enterprise mode: a company runs its own group of users (customers and transporters) inside the system, separate from the open marketplace.
  • Transporter profiles with truck documents — RC, fitness, insurance, licence — and driver details; document expiry dates tracked.
  • Bulk-upload orders and customers from Excel; search available vehicles including on a map.
03

Who it's for

  • Customers (shippers) — post a trip, pick a price or invite bids, track the truck, and settle the bill.
  • Transporters (fleet owners and truck owners) — list trucks and routes, receive booking requests, place bids, connect a GPS provider so trucks report location automatically, and get paid.
  • The TruckPool operations team — match loads to transporters, assign bids, manage payments and commissions, generate invoices, and watch every order on a dashboard.

If you move goods by road and you’re booking trucks over the phone, tracking them by call, and settling money on paper — this replaces all of that with one system.

04

How you use it

Customers register and verify by phone, then post trips with loading and unloading locations and a target price, sending a booking request or opening for bids. Transporters build a profile with company and bank details, add their trucks with document expiry dates, and define the routes they run. The operations team works from a central dashboard — assigning trips, managing payments, and generating invoices for both sides.
